Activities
Having a regular activity schedule provides a stimulating routine for the residents in our Assisted Living community. When planning the schedule, our team gathers input from family caregivers and the resident, which maximizes the chance that the resident will participate willingly, successfully and frequently. We make plans as tailored and specific as possible while getting a variety of activities that are cognitively stimulating, and involve socialization and physical activity. Activity planning also gives our caregivers an opportunity to brainstorm new ideas our residents would like based on their experience of the previous month.
Paying for Care
Copper Ridge is strictly a private pay facility. Many long term care insurances cover assisted living when the resident meets the criteria of their individual policy. Copper Ridge is licensed by the State of Maryland, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the Office of Health Care Quality. This qualifies us to be recognized by your long term care insurance. Medicare only pays for skilled days in a long term care facility if the resident qualifies. Medicare does not cover assisted living. The Medicaid Waiver Program is a program in the state of Maryland that a few assisted living programs do participate in currently. Copper Ridge does not participate in this program.
